"everyone has a soul in shades of gray, none completely black nor white॥one must look for and admire the light in people and not focus merely on the black । every person deserves a clean slate with marks given for the glimmers of goodness in them.."
One"knows" this, has been taught so all ones life and when one first goes out into the world the natural tendency is to feel for and look at the goodness people project..the glamour and the beauty. initially, one is happy in the illusion of goodness- everything is as it should be ..as was always taught .. by and by, one stumbles, stubs a toe or two..disillusionment soon follows..and the whole world seems full of hypocrites and tar..what a vast gulf between ones idea of the world and what one finds out of it.. disgust at the idiocy of people who taught one to think of everyone as basically good...how can one focus on the 'good' and the 'light' when one can clearly see that all there is to people, is a beautiful interactive facade covering the inherent broth of worthless, base humanity? one lives on and interacts more with the world, the disgust fades ..again the focus shifts and off the weary knowledge is born a more stable and realistic view of the world.. people are just that -people..all out to look for themselves. doing what they perceive is best for themselves..nothing wrong with that.. and the goodness one must look for is the deep seated the oft neglected part of one that nonetheless is a potent and universally much present factor.. everything is as it should be ..as was always taught .. neither a child nor a sanyaasi set much store by gold..a child in its innocence because it knows not what it is worth and the sanyaasi in his wisdom because he knows exactly what its worth is. he has progressed from the innocence to the "why" and back to the answer.
relationships are similar. the initial rush and mush is quickly overshadowed with irritation and tiffs and disappointments while the idea of love is in transit to love. the journey is hard and continuing.. the quicksilver emotions of the initium gradually are replaced by a more potent and real feeling..rather a 'state of being' where its no longer just the 'newness' or ' pheromones' or the things that u 'like' or thought about someone that account for being together.. the heart along with the mind, the whole spectrum of being wants to be there...a state of dynamic stability.. the mush and the rush being deeper in the soul. all that you love or dont about a person makes you want to be with them. the result is still a heady concoction of emotions but no longer 'blind' rather with wisdom and knowledge.. i now realize that the work done in the first place to achieve the 'simple' is the cumulative result of many convoluted processes ... the simplest things to understand or achieve are often the hardest to get at...just like its the easiest thing in the world to get out of a 'maze' once u know the way॥ but to have achieved the knowledge in the first place is far from easy।that is how humanity has been progressing. people willing to dedicate their whole life and energy in achieving the 'simple' and passing the answer to help others move forward.
[ to achieve a simple workable state, one simplifies intricacy after working hard to understand the simplicity that naturally existed which one made intricate oneself in the first place.am reminded of a cartoon widget i saw on this blog some time ago.:p]
